Paint the backboard

In this video I apply two coats of acrylic water based paint. While I watered down the paint for this application, it is not really necessary when using a roller.

Key points

• Flip the backboard over and apply sticky tape over the backboard holes. This will stop the paint leaching through.
• I recommend using a roller over paint brush. The roller applies a nice even coat and requires one or two coats maximum.
• If you do use a paint brush, you might need to thin the paint to a creamy consistency before application (as opposed to paste). This will help to apply an even coat and avoid leaving brush strokes.
